Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #102
Happy Friday's Five,
Hello from a busy week ending in Berlin. A day with a new client, a day with an existing client, a wonderful concert, and a weekend trip out of town starting in a few moments...
What I'm reading
"Wie geht's dir, Deutschland?" is the new book by Christoph Amend, editor in chief of Zeit Magazine, in which he visits and speaks to famous and not-so-famous people in Germany to find out in what ways Germany has changed in the recent years.
What I'm listening to
Sharon van Etten is one of those music artists that have been like a loyal companion for me. I've been a fan of her music since her first album and got a chance to interview her for the Role Models Podcasts a few months ago. It was a moving conversation for me as we recorded it during a challenging time for me and the pace really shows. We just published it and you can find and listen to it on rolemodels.co/podcast
What I'm watching
Die Neue Zeit is a six-episode series on Arte about the founding years of Bauhaus. I liked the first episode and can't wait to dive into it and continue watching.
What I'm thinking about
"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." – Seneca
What else?!
Alexandra Herget and Franziska Altenrath are the co-founders of Tutaka, part marketplace and part agency with the goal to enable hosts (think: hotels and other hospitality businesses) to implement sustainable guests experiences (think upcycled and reusable slippers). Tutaka looks great and that makes Alexandra and Franziska this week's (young) Leaders of the Week.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
