Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #105
Happy Friday's Five,
Hello from Raleigh, North Carolina. I arrived last night to kick things off with a new client today and am excited to be working with my first US-based client in the upcoming days. Here's what stuck with me this week:
What I'm reading
The machine always wins: what drives our addiction to social media by The Guardian
To Coach Junior Employees, Start with 4 Conversations by Harvard Business Review
What I'm listening to
Deichkind is a German hip hop and electro-punk band and is known for their live shows and extravagant costumes. The video to their newest track 'Dinge' totally blew my mind. What a piece of art.
What I'm watching
Succession - Season 2. I've shared here before that I'm impressed by the show Succession and Season 2 cranks it up a notch. It's such a delicious show about despicable people.
What I'm thinking about
With Trump and Johnson facing some headwinds, I've been thinking this week about whether the tide has turned for populists.
What else?!
There are not many brands that I follow on social media and Tracksmith is the exception. Tracksmith is an independent running brand for the ambitious amateur and besides using their running gear myself, I love how they use Instagram for storytelling. Check it out.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
