Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #109
Happy Friday's Five,
Greetings from Berlin where I spent a week with mostly meetings and phone calls and with a highlight of moderating the opening panel with the General Partners of Target Global, a Berlin-based venture capital firm, during their investors's day. Fun times!
What I'm reading
Super Sad True Chef Story by by Samuel Ashworth for Eater Magazine. A long story about a novelist's attempt at understanding (and experiencing) two distinctly different kitchen cultures and leadership styles of two French restaurants.
What I'm listening to
Ten Fé's new album 'Future Perfect, Present Tense' (what a great album title) has easily become the contender for my favorite album so far this year. What a stellar collection of beautiful songs. My standout tracks are 'Caught on the Inside', 'Isn't Ever a Day', and 'Coasting'. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
What I'm watching
'Living with Yourself' just came out on Netflix and it has made me literally laugh out loud a number of times. Find it, obvs, on Netflix.
What I'm thinking about
"A good cry is like a car wash for the soul." – Bill Hayes
What else?!
Ever wondered what Berliners look like who just left Berghain? Photographer Sabrina Jeblaoui documents "techno people in Berlin."
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
