Friday's Five ๐๐ผ #110
Happy Friday's Five,
It's November 1st. Today, my dad would have turned 73. Happy Birthday, dad!
What I'm reading
For those of you familiar with The Book of Life, the online publication from The School of Life, the organization that helps people live more fulfilled lives, might appreciate that they turned it it into a beautiful book, filled with philosophical essays about Self-Knowledge, Relationships, Love, Work, and more. Learn more about the book.
What I'm listening to
Mellow times allow for some good mellow music: The Slow Show released a new album 'Lust and Learn' earlier this year and I've been into the mix of slow indie, the singer's distinct voice, and the many orchestral and almost epic instrumentation. Listen to 'Lust and Learn' on Spotify.
What I'm watching
In 'Broken Flowers', Bill Murray plays a retired wealthy computer entrepreneur who one day receives an unsigned letter from one of his many exes about a son so goes on a journey to find him, or himself? Stream it on Arte.
What I'm thinking about
"If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of the potential, for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating, as possibility!" โ Sรธren Kierkegaard
What else?
Here's to friendship. My best friend Matze turned 40 yesterday. Happy birthday, my friend. And thank you for all the support. If you're into another weekly dose of inspiration and neat peeks into Matze's mind, subscribe to his 'High Five' newsletter (in German).
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend.
David
