Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #112
Happy Friday's Five,
Good morning from Ortigia in Sicily, where I am spending a week to clear my head & heart, soak up some sun and enjoy a balmy sea breeze. Sort of like a workation.
What I'm reading
My friend Matze shared this a few weeks ago in his newsletter and I've gone back and re-read it several times since. Author Neil Gaiman writes about love. Simple and so beautiful:
This is everything I have to tell you about love: nothing. Only that the world out there is complicated, and there are beasts in the night, and delight and pain, and the only thing that makes it okay, sometimes, is to reach out a hand in the darkness and find another hand to squeeze, and not to be alone.
What I'm listening to
Nils Frahm just released a new album 'All Encores'. If you're in need of some quiet piano sound scapes, give it a spin.
What I'm watching
Uber-producer Mark Ronson opens up about heartbreak, accessing his emotions, and how this translates into his work as a producer who works with the most successful artists of our time. Watch it in this YouTube Originals documentary 'How to be Mark Ronson'. Thanks to FF reader Steffi for sharing that one. Came at a perfect time.
What I'm thinking about
Loss & grief.
What else?!
