Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #123
Happy Friday's Five,
Hello from Berlin at the end of a busy week filled with travel, new and existing clients, and a ForChiefs Friday, the one day a month we spend together to build out the company.
What I'm reading
The Dutch House by Ann Patchett - I loved this book. A story about a house, a sister and a brother, poverty and wealth, and complicated family relationships. More on Goodreads.
What I'm listening to
The West Wing is one of my all-time favorite tv shows. Four years ago, Hrischi Hirway (of Song Exploder fame) and Joshua Malina (of the West Wing cast) started a weekly podcast where they discuss episode by episode of this legendary 7-season 156-episode show. It was such a pleasure to experience the show this way and it's a true labour of love by the two of them. This week, they published the final episode of the podcast and just as the final West Wing episode, it made me quite emotional. Thank you Hrishi and Joshua for the dedication and the work!
What I'm watching
The Peanut Butter Falcon - I watched this on the flight back from the U.S. on Sunday and it's such a sweet movie. Make sure to watch it. Here's the trailer.
What I'm thinking about
"There are a few times in life when you leap up and the past that you'd been standing on falls away behind you, and the future you mean to land on is not yet in place, and for a moment you're suspended, knowing nothing and no one, not even yourself" - quote from The Dutch House.
