Friday's Five ππΌ #39
Friends,
highlight of my week was to interview Anna Soellner, Reddit's Director of Communications, on stage of the European Communications Summit in Berlin. We recorded a live podcast for The Role Models Podcast to be published in a few weeks. That was fun.
What I'm reading
A Company Built on a Bluff (New York Mag)
How Do You Use Your 168 Hours Each Week? (Slate)
The Valuation Obsession (A VC)
What I'm listening to
Ruben And The Dark β Arms Of A Dream (Spotify) β been on a Ruben bender this week. Great album.
The Green Pill β The Ezra Klein Show (Apple Podcasts) β fascinating conversation about carnism & veganism.
What I'm watching
Gang of Youths β Don't Let Your Spirit Wane (The A.V. Club) β this is such a great version (the drum sound!) of the track I shared last week.
Casey Neistat flies the flying car by Kitty Hawk (YouTube)
One of the coolest things I've seen in a while by artist Theo Jansen (YouTube)
What I'm thinking about
βCapital should follow talent, not talent following capital.β β Fred Wilson (from the blog post linked above)
What else?!
Laura Brown is the Editor in Chief of InStyle Magazine and on a mission to champion badass women. We spoke with her about her journey into fashion, her role and the new generation of Editors in Chief, how to keep a print magazine relevant in a digitalized world, and what advice she can share with young people. Brand-new episode of The Role Models Podcast (Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts).
What was your highlight?
