Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #54
Hello,
Happy 'Friday's Five'. I spent the beginning of the week in my home town and family home and to be honest, that was hard. Letting go of objects that represent decades of my parents' and my lives was difficult. At the same time, it created room for Something New. Here's what kept me going this week.
What I'm reading
Calypso – David Sedaris (Goodreads). This was a joy to read. Also: this is one to judge by its cover.
How to Get Your Intuition Back (When It’s Hijacked by Life) (The New York Times)
Don’t Let TripAdvisor Kill Adventure (The New York Times)
Can Mark Zuckerberg Fix Facebook Before It Breaks Democracy? (The New Yorker)
What I'm listening to
Little Atoms Podcast – Jean Hannah Edelstein (Apple Podcasts). Attentive readers will remember Jean's memoir that I shared a few weeks back. Here's Jean in person speaking about the boo. Hi, Jean!
Crooked Media – The Wilderness Chapter Fifteen (Apple Podcasts). Do you miss Obama? Yeah, me too. Here he is in the final episode of the fantastic podumentary (is this a word yet?) by Crooked Media.
Mumford & Sons – Guiding Light (Spotify). This track has been on heavy rotation this week at Casa Noël. Yeah, guilty pleasures.
What I'm watching
Atypical – Season 2 (Netflix)
What I'm thinking about
"The light can at any time go from green to red without pausing at yellow." – Warren Buffett
What else?!
If you live in Berlin, or planning to visit, and into street art, check out this neat map of street art worth checking out. (MitVergnügen)
Have a great weekend and see you next Friday.
