Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #62
Happy Friday, and Happy Thanksgiving to my subscribers in the U.S.A!
I'm sending today's edition of 'Friday's Five' from London where I've spent the week with my client Booking.com.
What I'm reading
Why Doctors Hate Their Computers – The New Yorker
The Land That Failed to Fail – The New York Times
100 Notable Books for 2018 – The New York Times. Glad to see 'Educated', 'Crudo' and 'Calypso' included in this extensive list. Three of my favorite books this year.
What I'm listening to
Seth Godin on How to Say “No,” Market Like a Professional, and Win at Life – The Tim Ferriss Show – Apple Podcasts. I am so in awe of Seth Godin's clarity of thought and ability to communicate.
Business Schooled with Alexis Ohanian – Apple Podcasts. Looking forward to this new podcast by Reddit's founder. All episodes drop tomorrow, November 24.
What I'm watching
The Sinner – Season 2 – Netflix. I really enjoyed Season 1 of this series, can't wait to immerse myself into Season 2.
What I'm thinking about
“And now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good.” —John Steinbeck, East of Eden
What else?!
BRLO is one of the top craft beer brands in Germany (and beyond). It was founded by Katharina Kurz and she is our guest in this week's episode of the (German) Role Models Podcast. I highly recommend this episode–Katharina shares her story of leaving a cushy corporate job to found BRLO four years ago and she also shares the story of how they got to collaborate with U.S. rappers Run The Jewel. Have a great weekend, and thanks for reading.
