Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #64
Happy Friday's Five,
another busy week comes to an end with time spent again in Cambridge with Booking.com, and my first time at the Slush conference in Helsinki (an amazing conference with lots of attention to details that any other conference can learn from).
What I'm reading
How Restaurants Got So Loud – The Atlantic
The Great God of Depression – The New York Times
Active Listening: The Master Key to Effective Communication – Farnam Street
What I'm listening to
Spotify just came out with a series of '2018 Wrapped' playlists and here are my Top Songs of 2018. At the top of the list, a guilty-pleasure song that was on repeat in January in Cape Town during my daily runs.
What I'm watching
House of Cards – Season 6. First two episodes in, I am bummed that they made her be like him rather than develop her character.
What I'm thinking about
I'm curious to learn from leaders in organizations about what frameworks and models they use for their leadership development. What's the tool or framework that has had the most impact on you?
What else?!
Kristina Lunz left her small village for Oxford to be the first in her family to go to university. By way of New York where she worked for the United Nations and then a long-term stay in Myanmar she found her way to Berlin where she co-founded the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, an organization that influences Germany and European foreign policy to be more diverse. We interviewed her for the podcast and you can listen to our conversation in German here: https://rolemodels.co/podcast
I'm wondering, which above item is your favorite? Anything you want more or less of? I would love your feedback.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
