Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #79
Happy Friday's Five,
This week I sent out 14 copies of The Good Immigrant to all parts of the world: Germany, the UK, the U.S, Belgium, etc. It was great to see that so many of you were interested in reading and sharing the book, I couldn't keep it to just 5 copies. Enjoy!
What I'm reading
Brave New Work by Aaron Dignan – a book about what's not working with work, and tons of practical examples on how to make work work better – Goodreads.
We're All In This Together – The Particular Sheen of America by Train – a very amusing observation of a 67-hour train ride across America by Caity Weaver – The New York Times
What I'm listening to
Learned about and discovered two young talented artists this week: Emma Steinbakken (15) from Norway and Casey Dubei from Houston, Texas (26).
My best bud Matze Hielscher was a guest on Steffi Luxat's podcast 'Endlich Om'. When two great people meet, great conversations happen – Spotify (in German).
What I'm watching
After Life – I really loved this new Netflix show with Ricky Gervais.
What I'm thinking about
Triggered by the conversation I recently had on a podcast (see below), I've been thinking a lot this week about where I'm from, what got me to where I am today and why it happened the way it happened.
What else?!
I was a guest on The Kyōō, the new podcast by my friends Michi and Anni and I don't think I've ever shared more openly before in public. It's a long conversation and it's in German. You can find it here and on Spotify.
Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend.
David
