Friday's Five 🖐🏼 #93
Happy Friday,
Greetings from the French countryside in the Dordogne region where I spend a week to recharge, read, and relax. I'm headed to Bordeaux to spend the weekend before heading back to Berlin.
What I'm reading
The Forgiven by Lawrence Osborne. This is the second book I've read by Lawrence Osborne this year (the first was Beautiful Animals) and I love his writing, storytelling, and settings in which his stories take place. This time, it's the Moroccan desert.
What I'm listening to
I was a teenager when I watched Charlotte Roche host her shows on MTV. Last week, she launched a podcast together with her husband Martin Keß called 'Paardiologie'. They speak about love & partnership, it's like open couple's therapy.
What I'm watching
Catastrophe - Season 4. Finally caught up with the most recent season of one of my favorite comedy tv series.
What I'm thinking about
When I visited Bordeaux in April I discovered a fantastic restaurant called 'Miles'. Four friends from four different parts of the world run this 5-course fixed menu restaurant and are role models for a new generation of chefs in the super dynamic and vibrant city of Bordeaux. Can't wait to be back tomorrow. If you're ever in Bordeaux, you must go.
What else?!
A few weeks ago, Isa and I interviewed one of Germany's most talented and important singers who has defined German pop music: Joy Denalane. The episode went live this week, check it out if you like. We speak about super powers, super fears, and super art.
Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!
David
