Friday's Five ๐๐ผ #95
Happy Friday's Five!
Hello from Stockholm, a city that's always a pleasure to be back in. I spent a few days visiting a friend in the South of Sweden and about to head to the Stockholm archipelago.
What I'm reading
Globalisation is dead and we need to invent a new world order - The Economist
What I'm listening to
The Dropout is a six-epsiode podcast series about Elizabeth Holmes, founder of Theranos, a company that wanted to revolutionize blood test diagnostics and who was said to be the next Steve Jobs. Instead, she got accused of fraud and is awaiting trial for misleading investors, patients, and doctors. It's well researched and produced and I recommend listening to it.
What I'm watching
When They See Us is a four-episode Netflix miniseries that is based on events of the so-called Central Park jogger case and explores the lives of the families of and the five male suspects who were prosecuted in 1990 on charges related to the rape and assault of a woman in Central Park, New York City. Watch the trailer here.
What I'm thinking about
I thought a lot of about the life and story of the five men of the Central Park jogger case and the injustice they experienced.
What else?!
While in Copenhagen, I learned about the Copenhaganize Index, a ranking of the bicycle-friendly cities in the world. Copenhagen's bike lanes are as wide as car lanesโI dream of Berlin following Copenhagen's lead.
Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!
