Happy Friday! ☀️
A well balanced week between work and time for creative projects. Hope you had a good week too!
What I’m reading 📖
Robert Habeck is to co-head of the Green Party in Germany and I picked up his book ‘Von Hier An Anders’ after he was a guest in Matze’s podcast. I’ve found him impressive–the way he speaks, the passion, and the dedication. His book is similar: he blends personal experiences of his travels through the country, covers a wide bandwidth of issues we’re facing today, and offers hopeful views on how to address them. Read a review (in German).
What I’m listening to 🎧
My friends Mighty Oaks released a first single for their upcoming fourth studio album and it’s called ‘Mexico’. Doesn’t that want to make us all want to pack our things and head to Mexico? Listen for yourself.
What I’m watching 📺
The Houseboat is a four-episode mini series on Netflix that follows Olli Schulz and Fynn Kliemann, two German musicians who buy another musician’s houseboat with a vision to renovate the boat into a refuge for musicians and creative people. What starts as a fun and seemingly easy endeavour develops into a rollercoaster of events and feelings and a test for an until-then new friendship. I laughed, cheered, and felt all the feelings. Watch the trailer.
What I’m thinking about 🧠
Monday was International Women’s Day and starting this year, it’s a public holiday in Berlin. Made me tweet: how about we make it a rule that every company that publishes content on Monday‘s #IWD has to also share the percentage of women they‘ve promoted in the past year and the adjustments they‘ve made to close the gender pay gap?
What else?! 💯
IKEA is venturing into the tiny house game with this pre-fab house on wheels and it makes me crave summer and time in nature. Step in for a virtual tour.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
