Happy Friday! ☀️
Good week filled with coaching sessions with my clients Zenloop and Cowboy and getting ready for two podcast interviews today with two amazing women.
What I’m reading 📖
Stefanie Stahl is a German clinical psychologist and best-selling author of several books about relationships. I was aware of her books and felt an internal resistance to read them–the covers and titles unfortunately were not speaking to me. After listening to her podcast where she faciliates therapy sessions with real people, I changed my mind and read her book ‘Jeder ist beziehungsfähig’. I am glad I did as it helped me reflect and understand certain patterns I had found myself falling back to. More about the book.
What I’m listening to 🎧
Speaking of relationships, Scott Galloway interviewed another therapist and author: Esther Perel. I’ve seen Esther speak at several events and I am just impressed by her deep expertise on relationships, her fast mind, and courage to challenge conventions. Even someone as smart as Scott Galloway seems impressed in this conversation. Listen.
What I’m watching 📺
Saint Frances is another movie that will likely end up in my list of favorite movies of the year. Bridget, a 34 year old, gets a job nannying six-year-old Frances. Bridget's unwanted pregnancy and abortion raise many complications. Watch the trailer.
What I’m thinking about 🧠
“Plans are useless but planning is invaluable.” - Scott Galloway
What else?! 💯
Yesterday, I crossed the 400th day of intermittent fasting (I mainly do 16:8 fasting). My longest fasting streak was 240 days and am currently on a 45-day streak. To track my fasts and to stay motivated, I use the app Zero which I like. Check out Zero for iOS.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
