Friday's Five ✋ #202
Happy Friday! ☀️
A little later than usual for good reasons. I am in Sweden in the Stockholm Archipelago and spent the last few days chopping wood, building tents, and pressure water blasting decks. I’m in Sweden this week, reconnecting with old friends and enjoying island life.
What I’m reading 📖
‘The Martian’ by Andy Weir was a book I enjoyed a lot. His new book ‘Hail Mary’ is equally riveting and after getting used to the sci-fi technical lingo, I got hooked into the story. A mysterious space algae starts sucking all the sun’s energy and one astronaut finds himself in a space ship far away in the galaxy and humankind’s hope to save planet Earth. More about the book.
What I’m listening to 🎧
Holy Holy is a band whose songs I got here and there in playlists but never further dug into. Their album ‘Paint’ has been my recent running album and I love their egdy indie sound. Give it a spin.
What I’m watching 📺
Scandinavia is known for some excellent crime television and ‘Bedrag’ is right up there for me. A big Danish sustainable energy company has had an enormous, suspect growth. Problems start, when an employee's body is found and cop detective Justesen starts investigating Energreen. Watch the trailer and find it on Netflix.
What I’m thinking about 🧠
The present moment is significant, not as the bridge between past and future, but by reason of its contents, which can fill our emptiness and become ours, if we are capable of receiving them. –Dag Hammarsköld
What else?! 💯
Not much, this week. I am logging off and going back to enjoying this stunning Swedish sunset. ✌️
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
David
