Friday's Five ✋ #206
Happy Friday! ☀️
Hello from St. Peter Ording at the North Sea where I spent the most part of the week with a client at an offsite. It felt great to be near the sea and work outside in the sun.
What I’m reading 📖
‘The Gospel of Consumption’ takes a look at why and when we started buying and consuming so much. The article is a good mirror and you can read it here.
What I’m listening to 🎧
Last week my friends Matze and Pierre celebrated 11 years of Mit Vergnügen at Michelberger Hotel. It was like a school reunion and we danced all night. One of the artists that performed was Gheist who I didn’t know before. I’ve been binging their track Decourse all week during my runs.
What I’m watching 📺
‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ came out just after I finished watching ‘The White Lotus’ and you could say that both shows fall in the same vein. Nine strangers meet in a mysterious and secluded high end wellness retreat and discover secrets about themselves and the host of the resort (played by Nicole Kidman). For me, Michael Shannon and Melissa McCarthy stand out with their performances. Watch the trailer.
What I’m thinking about 🧠
This is so often the way with life. You spend so much time waiting for something – a person, a feeling, a piece of information – that you can't quite absorb it when it is in front of you. – Matt Haig
What else?! 💯
Matze interviewed rapper Marteria last week at Mit Vergnügen 11 and felt inspired by his story going from financial aid to selling out the football stadium in his home town.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
