Friday's Five ✋ #212
Happy Friday! ☀️
Hello from Tirol in Austria where I spent half of the week moderating a vision and strategy offsite for my client at Personio. It was such an inspiring setting with magnificent views and sunny weather. A perfect location to think big.
What I’m reading 📖
We’ve all come across the appealing artwork used by our streaming services of choice and how they entice us to click. Turns out this artwork is called ‘key art’ and which key art we see is highly individual and based on our viewing activity. No Netflix home screen is created equal. Fellow Substacker Rex of ‘Why is this interesting’ took a closer look on key art and compiled a few thoughts. Take a read.
What I’m listening to 🎧
‘Let’s Just Say the World Ended a Week from Now’ is the title for Honne’s new album that is out today. I enjoy listening to their smooth, poppy, and rhythmic pop and the various collaborations they do on the album.
What I’m watching 📺
‘The Chestnut Man’ is a recent Netflix show in the Nordic Noir genre and follows the greats like The Bridge and offers another chilling crime story set in Copenhagen, Denmark. Next to a compelling plot, I always love the photography and mood of Scandinavian shows and I binge-watched the series in one go. Watch the trailer.
What I’m thinking about 🧠
I’ll be spending some days in Rome with my sister and her family–we haven’t seen each other for a while and I am looking forward to exploring a new city with my 8 and 6-year old nephews. Any tips for good restaurants and things to do with kids in Rome, send them my way!
What else?! 💯
I enjoy a peek into other people’s homes every once in a while and the more exciting when that home is on the other side of the planet. I love this multi-generational house in Central Melbourne with its vegetable garden and the terracotta colours. Step in!
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
