Happy Friday! ☀️
Busy week here in Brussels with my client Cowboy. We spent an entire week with intense modelling, strategizing, and planning for the coming year(s). Lots of exciting things happening so keep an eye out.
What I’m reading 📖
‘Calculating your carbon footprint’ has become a very normal term in our everyday lives and has encouraged many to reflect on their consumption and habits. Little did I know that the concept, campaign, and calculator was in fact created by British Petroleum (BP) and the advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather with the goal to shift the awareness away from the fossil fuel industry towards the individual responsibility. Mashable has the story and calls it ‘The Carbon Footprint Sham’.
What I’m listening to 🎧
For one of the final episodes of The Role Models Podcast this year, we reconnected with Teresa Buecker for a second round interview. The first round remains one of the most popular episodes ever of the podcast and Isa and I and the community requested a round two. It finally happened and it was as deep and meaningful as the first time around. Teresa is a great human with a sharp mind and a warm and calming character. Listen here.
What I’m watching 📺
As a Belgian and sweet tooth, I’m outing myself as a chocolate lover so the new Netflix docu-series ‘The School of Chocolate’ caught my immediate attention. I haven’t started watching it due to a busy week so this is a reminder to myself to check it out. The trailer looks promising, watch it here.
What I’m thinking about 🧠

What else?! 💯
Speaking of Cowboy, Charles, one of the members of the leadership team just published his book ‘Follow the Coast’. Crowd-funded on Kickstarter (and shared here in a previous edition of Friday’s Five), the book is spectacular. ‘Written’ by runners, it is a visual travel guide mapping the entire Atlantic coast from Knokke - the border between Belgium and the Netherlands - and San-Sebastian - the border between France and Spain. It’s a perfect holiday gift and a must-have for European road trip lovers. Get your copy here.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
