Happy Friday! ☀️
Hello from Bad Gastein from where I hosted a few online workshops and went to the mountains with my colleague Peter to host a vision workshop with a new client. It’s my fourth year in the row in Bad Gastein and always a treat to be back.
What I’m reading 📖
A. started reading Daniel Christian Wahl’s ‘Designing Regenerative Cultures’ and I peeked into it and it does look super interesting. I’m planning on reading it, this week was too busy to do any reading. “Daniel Wahl explores ways in which we can reframe and understand the crises that we currently face and explores how we can live our way into the future. Moving from patterns of thinking and believing to our practice of education, design and community living, he systematically shows how we can stop chasing the mirage of certainty and control in a complex and unpredictable world.” More about the book.
What I’m listening to 🎧
My monthly playlist for February has filled up quite nicely this month and includes some fantastic tracks by bands like The War on Drugs, new songs by Arlo Parks, Foals, Get Well Soon, Bear’s Den, and Midlake. Tune in.
What I’m watching 📺
It took me a while and finally watched ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and I wish I’d watched it sooner. I love music bio-pics and music documentaries and this movie made me remember how amazing a band Queen was. The songs are so iconic and it was great to see the creation process of behind the scenes albeit it being dramatized by way of a feature film. Watch the trailer.
What I’m thinking about 🧠
Peace.
What else?! 💯
Bad Gastein truly is a strange place, in a mysteriously positive way. Old, partially abandoned grand hotels from another era and travel lifestyle collide with a generation of new hoteliers and it seems like every year, a new place opens up. After staying at Haus August, Miramonte, Haus Hirt, and Alpenlofts this time I stayed at the Selina.
Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!
