Happy Friday! ☀️
Officially I had a week off. Unofficially, well, things were busy. I made an exception for a workshop with a new client in Vienna and I am glad I did. Loved spending a high-intensity, high-intelligence, and high-energy day with this team.
What I’m reading 📖
The internet if full of advice to support our wellbeing. It’s often cookie cutter tips and tricks you can find on any website. This post encouraged me to start asking different kind of questions to check in with myself to assess how I am doing and feeling. Jakob Greenfeld calls these “proxy questions” and I noted a bunch of them as a reminder to myself. Ask away.
What I’m listening to 🎧
My genre growing up was hardcore and punk rock. There are some bands from that era that stood the test of time and are bands that I go back and revisit often. One of those bands is Thursday and their second and breakthrough studio album “Full Collapse” are on the top of my list for the (post-hardcore) genre. 13 years after their last album, they just released a new song and it’s been on repeat at the gym for the past week. Love to seeing them back.
What I’m watching 📺
Andrew Callaghan was unknown to me until this week and it turns out that he has created some very successful YouTube shows interviewing people gonzo style on the streets in unusual places in the United States. Two years ago, Callaghan released his first movie, a documentary about the events leading up to January 6th 2021, the day of the attack on the U.S. Capitol. For ‘This Place Rules’, Callaghan travels across the United States to interview and understand the drivers that led to the event. Watch the trailer.
