Friday's Five ✋ #434
Elements
Happy Friday! ☀️
This week, spring was in the air in Vienna. I woke up today hearing the first birds nearby and the sun is out. And I am listening to Chet Faker’s new album (see below) which gives me even more spring vibes. I had a home office week in Vienna and it felt nice not to travel.
What I’m reading 📖
Over the years, I’ve read and enjoyed several of John Boyne’s novels. Always engaging storylines, deep characters, and settings that peek curiosity. Boyne’s most recent work is a four-piece novella series called The Elements that are connected, sometimes loosely, other times more directly. Let me say I want on that bender. The fact that it wasn’t a single novel but four separate ones made it an exciting read. Highly recommended. More about the series.
What I’m listening to 🎧
With his second album Built on Glass, Chet Faker came onto my radar in 2014 during my time at SoundCloud and was one of the hottest artist that year. Twelve years later, his newest album A Lover For Strangers will be on repeat for a while.
What I’m watching 📺
I’ve missed coming across interesting documentaries lately, and a visit on Arte’s YouTube channel always helps. Here’s the history of mystical experiences.
What I’m thinking about 🧠

What else?! 💯
Google updated Gemini by adding a tutor-like model called ‘Guided Learning’. The internet has enabled me to learn so much since I first logged on in 1996 via my dad’s dial up connection. The fast emerging next tech frontier of artificial intelligence will mean a new step change for learning and at least to my knowledge, Google now offers a dedicated learning product as first of the big players. To try it, visit Gemini and in the model toggle, select Guided Learning.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
